McEnery Automation Receives Packing Line OEE Contract

McEnery Automation, a CSIA Certified System Integrator, has enjoyed a twenty-year relationship with a global petroleum products company, providing batch control expertise for lubricant manufacturing.  As a result of that relationship, when the customer's corporate engineers were tasked with implementing an OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) system for packing lines throughout North America, they turned to McEnery Automation as a trusted partner to select, design and implement a prototype system.

McEnery Automation selected Rockwell Automation's FactoryTalk Metrics as the OEE automation solution, along with integrating packing line process data into Rockwell's FactoryTalk Historian and VantagePoint EMI, and OSIsoft's Process Book.

A key to success for the OEE system will be to not only capture and quantify OEE data for the packing line, but also to make it available throughout the customer's enterprise to those who will put the data to use. By choosing a Rockwell Automation solution, McEnery Automation will be able to easily integrate the OEE information with other production information stored in FactoryTalk Historian and FactoryTalk Batch databases.

McEnery Automation is a "Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator" with specialization in Process, Control, and Information Systems, as well as an OSIsoft Accredited Integrator Partner. This combination of skills provides expert-level knowledge regarding integration of software from each of these areas.
